Meet our pastors

Jeff Whisman - Pastor of English Congregation

Pastor Jeff Whisman became a Christian as a child through the influence of his family. He grew up in Massachusetts and studied electrical engineering at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. After working as an engineer for a short time he responded to God’s call on his life to work with people rather than circuits for God’s kingdom. Pastor Jeff went to Denver Seminary and obtained a Master of Divinity degree in 1995. While there he married May, who is from Taiwan. Since 1998, they have worked in Chinese American churches in southern California and New Jersey. In 2009 Jeff obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with an emphasis on Ministering to Postmodern Generations.  Pastor Jeff has a heart to make disciples of Jesus, who then make disciples.  He enjoys house projects, canoeing, good discussions, and hanging out with May.  Jeff has been serving with Cornerstone since 2008.
