This series of sermons will take us through the New Testament gospel of Mark. Jesus calls people to follow him and become his disciples. This means following his way of life and his teachings. It also means to trust him as Lord and his salvation from the punishment that our sins deserve. To follow Jesus means we willingly journey through life seeking to obey his teachings empowered by His Spirit who dwells within us by faith. Often we get distracted and off course when we take our eyes off Jesus and focus on other things when we treat them as more important. Our journey as disciples is learning how to stay the course and keep our eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus in every part of life. The more we follow Jesus, the more we enter into his joyful presence and also share in his suffering.
